We like to sign creators exclusively to stop overlap between agencies. Sometimes a creator will speak to multiple agencies, and we’re not always aware of this. When a creator speaks to multiple agencies, we tend to put the creator to the same companies, which in turn, annoys the brand, sometimes leading to no deal at all. It makes more sense for one agency to do the brand deals.
If you sign exclusively with Ruthless Talent, we will put your channel up for all of our new campaigns before non-exclusive creators. Sometimes the budget is limited, and this means that only exclusive creators end up getting the deal for this brand’s campaign.
All exclusive creators get extra benefits, such as help with thumbnails, editing and other aspects of content creation, if required. We’re very good at increasing CTR through thumbnails, titles and descriptions.
Yes, please do.
Check out our creators page and feel free to DM them to ask.
For the bigger creators, let us know who you will be asking, and we’ll get them to check out their DMs to make sure they don’t miss it. Bigger creators get hundreds of DMs per day and probably won’t see your message.
It generally depends on how quickly the brand pays the invoice.
When you sign a contract with us, it will clearly state the payment terms.
We pay you on the same day the brand pays us. If that’s after 1 day, you’ll get paid after 1 day.
Generally, you’ll be paid in around 30 days as that’s the standard terms of most brands in this industry.
For exclusive creators, we give a 3-month initial trial contract. This means that all brand deals must be executed by Ruthless Talent. We can work with other agencies, if required. Whatever it takes to get you the money you want. After the 3 month period expires, it is down to you to decide whether you want to extend the contract for the rest of the year, or whether you want to leave.
For non-exclusive creators who just want brands deals here and there, we give you a contract per deal.
We generally offer you a fixed-fee, for example: $2,000 USD for a 60-90 second ad placement within the first 5 minutes of a long-form YouTube video.
That’s the exact amount of money you’ll receive in your bank.
Some brands offer different sorts of deals. Perhaps they offer affiliate-only, which we’re really not a fan of, as it’s generally free advertising. However, some brands offer huge commission rates, so we’ll at least let you know about them.
Some brands offer a bit of this and a bit of that. Some fixed rate and commission on top. Our plan will always be to make you as much money as possible, whilst also making sure that the brand gets a good ROI, so they come back to you for more ads in the future.
That totally depends on your contract. It’s probably best to have a read of the contract to find out.
We’d also like to know why you want to leave that agency. Generally, it’s due to the lack of brand deals being offered. We will let you know before leaving if we think that we’ll be able to provide more than your current agency does.
We have a list of brands we work with on the Sponsors page, however, we have direct access to many more brands. Let us know who you want to work with, especially if you have seen another creator make an ad for them in the past.
This is a question we sometimes get asked, and we’re not really sure why some creators are wary about passing this information over, however, the answer is pretty simple. Companies need to know who they are promoting to.
Some companies only sell in the US, so they want a majority US audience. Some brands would rather the audience be more female than male.
Brands know their target market, and they want to ensure that they’re paying you to showcase their product or service to the right audience, so they eventually make that money back.
We do not accept media kits, or any platform that claims to show us your stats. We want to see a screenshot from YouTube studio, showing the dates, and clearly showing that it was taken from your account. It is surprising how many creators choose to send fake stats. Don’t be that guy.
That’s a simple one. The brands pay us to find creators to promote their services. We only make money when you make money.
We offer other services too, but it’s likely you’re reading this as you’re interested in some paid promotion on your videos.
No, far from it. We never take control or even access your social media accounts.
You shouldn’t ever let a company control your accounts, and certainly never let a company take part of your revenue.
MCNs (Multi-channel networks) are renowned for ripping off creators and keeping them locked into disgusting contracts, with very few, if any, benefits to the creator.
If an MCN contacts you, ignore the email.
Our main goal is to make you money, not to take your money.
No, you don’t need to change your email address at any point.
When a creator signs exclusively with Ruthless Talent, we ask them to change the email address on their YouTube about page to [theirname]@ruthlesstalent.com – This email address forwards all emails to the creator’s email address and to Ruthless Talent’s staff. We control all brand-related emails, and the creator controls everything else. You never lose access to anything.
We didn’t call ourselves Ruthless Talent for no reason. Get in touch. We will gladly argue with the brand on your behalf if you’re not at fault.
However, if you are at fault, or you have broken their contract, then the answer is no.
There is no minimum, but… we generally look for creators who are bringing in a minimum of 30,000 views on YouTube long-form videos on average or more.
No. Never.
Don’t let anybody do this.
Don’t let anybody access your accounts.
Always be wary.
Ask questions.
Ask other creators for advice.
